Food in the Philippines

I am going to be visiting the Philippines in about two months, and I have a question about the food.  I can tend to be a picky eater, and I am nervious about what I will be able to eat.  Can someone tell me what I will most likly be eating.  Also, if I do not care for the local food, is there a place I will be able to purchase American food?
