Concrete Pouring Road Construction in Dumaguete, Philippines

Here are three videos my wife and I shot today in Dumaguete.  Actually there has been a lot of construction this year here. Sometimes it seems like it's going slow. But the truth is there are a lot of people working hard, and they've made a lot of progress. Many places in Negros are making good progress in road building.  The first video features the concrete mixer mixing the concrete, dumping it out, and the men moving the concrete into place.  Also there is a strange tube maybe for getting the air out by vibrating.

In the second video, we see the smoothing/shaking maching.  I assume the small gas motor on top is doing some shaking.  Could have a different purpose I suppose.

Then in the last video the road is finished.

That's road construction in Dumaguete, Philippines in 2009.  There is often a lot of dust, but luckily on this particular day it was quite wet due to last night's rain.

Thanks to the hard work of the men in the videos and to their frendliness inviting us to check out their progress.
