Soil Erosion in Cebu, Philippines

Cebu, Philippines has been inhabited for thousands of years. Many areas - even remote areas - have had hundreds and hundreds of years of destriuctive agrilculture, plowing soils that are then washed to the sea. These rocks were hidden under soil a hundred years ago. Grazing and plowing for planting decimated them, reducing productive land in this area by a factor of ten over the past hundred years. Erosion is not a joke.
