Unused Telephone Pole Power Line Poles in Manila, Philippines

These powerline poles weren't cheap to make... and yet, they were unused - in some strange way, it must have been cheaper to leave them, than to make use of them... not only did the trees grow around them, but the sidewalk was even put in around one of them.  Or maybe there is some sentimental value to having these poles lying on the side of Roxas in Manila... your guess is as good as mine!
