Dumaguete, Philippines - A Nice City -- and a Lodging Recommendation

Dumaguete is where I've spent most of my time while in the Philippines.  It's small enough so that we can live in a peaceful, bucolic setting yet be in the center of town in just ten minutes.

One nice place to stay for a short or long term is the housing owned and managed by Bobby Ray and Char, a few kilometers south of town.  My wife and I stayed a week and loved chatting with the owners, seeing their gardens, and the convenience of the location.  Our room looked out over rice fields and had a good internet connection included, as well as full kitchen, hot water, and A/C.  I recommend it as a great place to stay while you check out Dumaguete.  You can email the owners at bacongapartments@yahoo.com.ph.
